MINI CUP
Auburndale Mini Cup Rules

Central Florida Mini Cup Rules at Auburndale Speedway is a driver development class. This class is committed to helping young drivers develop a solid foundation for their racing careers.
• This series allows anyone under 18 years of age to compete in point series. Drivers 18 and over can apply to run as a non-competitive driver. Drivers are required to demonstrate exemplary leadership and sportsmanship qualities, both on-and-off track.
• All drivers new to Mini Cup racing at Auburndale Speedway are required to contact Steve Smith 863- 559-9865 prior to participation in their first race. No exceptions will be permitted.
• Any Mini Cup driver who has not previously competed at Auburndale Speedway must be cleared by the track’s race director prior to their first race. It is the responsibility of all new Mini Cup drivers to report to the race director personally (no crew members), prior to their first race.
Safety
This is the most important part of racing especially when we have our youth racing. The Mini Cup Director may choose to start a new driver in the rear until they can maintain a certain speed and demonstrate the ability to handle and maintain a safe line on track. This means your driver may have to start in the rear the first few races or until the director feel’s they can operate in a safe manner for all drivers.

Track Rules
Please find the tracks specific rules on the Auburndale Speedway’s web site. It is the responsibility of the car owner/driver(s) to make sure they understand the race flags and what they mean as well as racing lingo. If you do not, please let the Mini Cup Director know to help you become acclimated, so everyone stays safe.

Mini Cup Director Responsibilities
-Responsibilities are to communicate between car owners/drivers and the track, schedule practice times, tech of cars, implement rules, make sure competitors are competent to race with others and assist with their progression. As well as driver line up and approval for a driver to race.
-At no time does the director make calls during the race. This is the sole responsibility of the track officials. Decisions made during races are the sole discretion of the tower and track officials
