All valves, lifters, push rods and rocker arms must remain stock Honda GX390U1 engines
Aftermarket valve springs okay if they meet the dimensions of the stock spring. One stock
Honda shim allowed under both intake and exhaust springs. All dimensions will be taken from known stock Honda GX390K1/U1 engine parts. All other specifications will be from Honda GX390U1 shop manual.
A small groove may be cut in the valve stem for a safety (rubber) “O” ring to be installed.
Groove must be no more than: 0.020″ deep – 0.100″ wide – 0.750″ from end of valve stem.
Slot in rocker arm may be elongated to prevent binding.
A stock Honda valve seal may be used on intake valve only.

THE ONLY ENGINE PLATFORMS PERMITTED WILL BE HONDA GX390 OR CLONE.
Gear Ratio
A maximum final drive ratio of 4.29 is required. 14t, 15t, or 16t clutch drive gear must be used to obtain the final drive ratio. Any dry centrifugal clutch is permitted. No transmissions, belt driven torque converters, oil bath clutches, or axle clutches are permitted.

CAR NUMBERS |
Numbers must be at least twelve (12) inches high, located on the center of the door and affixed to both sides of the car. A number eighteen (18) inches high must be affixed to the roof, reading from the OUTSIDE of the racetrack. All cars must display their number using three (3) inch high numbers on the right front and rear bumper areas of the car. ALL first-year or rookie drivers are required to display a yellow “Rookie Stripe” across the rear of the car. Chassis

Rear Axle Only one-point-two-five (1.25-inch) steel or chrome moly hollow axles are permitted. Maximum axle length is forty (40) inches. Aluminum axles are prohibited. A snap ring on each end of axle must be in place and mandatory safety wiring in place. Tire Track & Wheels Cars must maintain a tread width between forty-three (43) and forty-five-point- five (45.5) inches measured at the widest point (sidewall) of the tire set at zero toe-in. Aluminum spacers are permitted to utilize maximum front tread width. Max wheel size of 8 inches Wheelbase The maximum allowable wheelbase for either side of the car is sixty-point-five (60.5) inches. The minimum allowable wheelbase for either side of the car is fifty-nine-point-five (59.5 inches). Wheelbase will be measured with the front and rear tires on each side in line with each other. A straight edge or string must touch the front and rear sidewall of the front tire and the front sidewall of the rear tire (three points). The measurement is taken from the front edge of the front wheel to the front edge of the rear wheel. The process is the same on the opposite side of the car. Ride Height Chassis height must be at least two inches (2.00) inches ground clearance measured at the lowest point of the chassis, not including welds or fasteners. No part of the engine or suspension can be lower than frame clearance. Ride height of the car will be checked with the driver in car on level ground as raced. There is no body ground clearance requirement. No mechanical or electrical device for adjusting ride height is permitted. Maximum left side weight 55% |
